Water Use Allocation Program

The City of Redwood City implemented a Water Use Allocation Program for Redwood City residents in 2001. The allocation program provides a fair and equitable way to distribute water during possible future droughts, taking into consideration the individual customer needs and their conservation efforts, instead of prior years' consumption. This program will help you to hit your water use target! Here's an example.

To participate in this program, residential water users need to provide information about their water usage by completing a survey form. You can fill out and email the survey online. Or, if you prefer, you can download and print a hard copy and send it in. Of course you can always contact us to have one sent to your home.

If you don't complete a survey, you will be given default allocations.

You can view your water allocation and compare your water use with your allocation for the last 12 months. To do so, please to the Water Conservation website now.
